Travis Kelce warms up before kickoff at Mercedes-Benz Stadium

Travis Kelce is warming up at Mercedes-Benz Stadium ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ matchup against the Atlanta Falcons.

After two quiet performances to start the season, Kelce, who has been struggling to reach his usual form, appears confident and ready to turn things around in tonight’s game.

The Chiefs’ tight end arrived at the stadium making a fashion statement, donning an oversized black jacket, a smart tie, and red sneakers, a sharp look completed by sunglasses and a white dress shirt. Kelce had earlier boarded the team bus in loafers before swapping to his bold red shoes.

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, meanwhile, also turned heads, arriving in a dapper navy blue pinstripe suit paired with a light blue tie.Travis Kelce notes Taylor Swift's bold appearance at Chiefs game but is mum about any relationship | WJTV

Kansas City is looking to improve its record to 3-0 after wins over the Ravens and Bengals. Despite the team’s success, Kelce has had a relatively slow start to the 2024 season, with just four catches for 39 yards through the first two games—well below his career average of 70.6 receiving yards per game. The future Hall of Famer will be hoping to recapture some of his past form, particularly from his last game in Atlanta in 2016, when he racked up 140 receiving yards.

Fans online have been buzzing about Kelce’s outfit in Atlanta, with some speculating it might be a tribute to his girlfriend, pop megastar Taylor Swift. On Saturday, Kelce was spotted stepping off the team plane in an all-black ensemble, including a black T-shirt, jacket, pants, sandals, and a black bag. Swifties quickly drew comparisons to Swift’s Reputation era, which featured her in all-black outfits during her 2017 Reputation world tour. One fan commented on the Chiefs’ post, “Big reputation,” while another referenced Swift’s lyrics, writing, “Who’s scared of old Travy? You’re the one scared.”

Though Swift attended the Chiefs’ first two games this season, she is not expected to be in attendance tonight. On Saturday, she was seen out with her friend, model Gigi Hadid, in New York City, fueling further speculation about her absence.

On the field, the Chiefs are making some notable adjustments to protect their star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, head coach Andy Reid has made a bold decision to start veteran offensive tackle Wanya Morris at left guard, replacing second-round pick Kingsley Suamataia. Suamataia, drafted 63rd overall from BYU, earned the starting job in Week 1 after an impressive training camp but has struggled in the first two games, with Mahomes being sacked four times and throwing three interceptions.

As the Chiefs aim for their third consecutive win, Kelce will be looking to break out of his early-season slump, while Mahomes hopes for better protection from his offensive line.
