During Tuesday’s episode of Kelly Stafford’s “The Morning After” podcast, she revealed the hilarious reason that kept her running away from Kristin Juszczyk. Kelly challenged herself to design an outfit like Kristin, which ended up going wrong. On the podcast, Kelly said:

“Going to this game, I was like, ‘Let’s make shirts. Let’s be like Kristin!’ As we made them, I was like, ‘This is embarrassing. I hope we don’t run into her with our ironed-on patches in our Amazon tanks.’ It was like a hot press. You guys know me, I’m not creative at all. I bought a sewing machine two years ago. Used it one time.” (4:32)

“Had no f***ing idea what I was doing. During the game, all the patches started falling off,” Kelly said with a laugh. “I was like, ‘Guys, I just don’t know if this is our thing.’ We were like, ‘Please, God, don’t let us run into Kristin. She’d just be like, ‘Oh, no, no, no.’”

Kristin became famous as a custom designer last season when her Travis Kelce-inspired Kansas City Chiefs jacket went viral after Taylor Swift wore it. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Juszczyk revealed that she had been waiting for that moment for years.

“I was so ready for that moment. I’ve been at this for years now, and it’s all I’ve ever wanted. When there was finally a spotlight on it, I was so ready. I love pushing my skill set and making things. I don’t want to be known as ‘the puffy jacket girl.’ As much as it was incredible, all the spotlight I got, I love doing a ton of other designs as well,” Juszczyk said.
