New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers couldn’t help but take a shot at head coach Robert Saleh following the team’s sloppy 10-9 home loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon.
The biggest upset of the day saw the Broncos escape MetLife Stadium with a one-point victory over Aaron Rodgers and the Jets (2-2). New York kicker Greg Zuerlein missed a potential game-winning 50-yard field goal in the rain, clinching the Jets’ first home loss in the young Rodgers era.
After the game, Jets head coach Robert Saleh expressed uncertainty about whether the Jets were “ready” for pre-snap cadences in Sunday’s loss, per SNY’s Connor Hughes. Let’s just say that Rodgers didn’t take that very well.
“That’s one way to do it,” Rodgers said. “The other way is hold them accountable. I mean, we haven’t had an issue, we’ve had one false start…I believe, until this.”

Rodgers and the Jets mustered just 248 yards of offense on 70 plays, relying on three field goals from Zuerlein to do all the scoring. The Jets committed a whopping 13 penalties for 90 yards.

Aaron Rodgers & Jets Still Looking For Answers On Offense
The Jets’ offense has left a lot to be desired over the first month of 2024, with the exception of last week’s blowout win over the New England Patriots.
New York’s rushing game has been surprisingly unproductive, and the rebuilt offensive line hasn’t been much better than last year’s wretched group. Clearly, the Jets have a lot to fix between now and next Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings in London.
