REPORT: Shocking New Details Emerge On Raiders' Massive Asking Price For Disgruntled Superstar WR Davante Adams

New details have emerged on the Las Vegas Raiders’ asking price for star wide receiver Davante Adams following his trade request.

Multiple reports on Tuesday afternoon stated that Davante Adams had requested a trade from the Raiders. The 31-year-old is in the third year of a massive five-year, $140 million deal he signed in the 2022 offseason.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Raiders have told teams that they’ll “consider” dealing their superstar wideout “for a package that would include a second-round pick and additional compensation.”

Two years ago, the Raiders gave up their first and second-round picks to the Green Bay Packers for Davante Adams before handing him what was the biggest WR contract in NFL history at the time.

The news of his trade request came after Adams expressed confusion to Kay Adams on “Up & Adams” over head coach Antonio Pierce “liking” a post about the All-Pro wideout possibly playing his final game in Vegas.

Adams missed the Raiders’ Week 4 home game against the Cleveland Browns with a hamstring injury. So it’s very possible that his last game with the Raiders took place in Week 3, a 36-22 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Through his first three games of 2024, Adams has 18 receptions for 209 yards and one touchdown. Since joining the Raiders, the future Hall of Famer has racked up 221 receptions for 2,869 yards and 23 touchdowns.

The Raiders visit the AFC West rival Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon, with the winner moving to 3-2. After that, Vegas will return to Sin City to host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Davante Adams Will Have Plenty Of Interest

Adams is arguably a top-five wide receiver in the game, and players of his caliber are not available via trade very often. Just about any championship contender with the cap space should have interest in Adams, with teams like the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys standing out as logical landing spots.
