So many people want my relationship with Travis Kelce to be trashed and broken. If you are a fan of mine and you want my relationship to continue and stand strong, let me hear you say a big YES!āš±
Is Kelce seeking a fresh start amid early struggles?
Travis Kelceās alter ego,Ā El Travador, has arrived inĀ Los Angeles.
TheĀ Kansas City ChiefsĀ star got a makeover before the Chiefs played inĀ Hollywood, showing off aĀ stunning new lookĀ that everyone fromĀ Patrick MahomesĀ toĀ Taylor SwiftĀ is sure to love.
Kelce trying to turn it around
He needed something to help jump start a turnaround to his 2024 season, which has gotten off to aĀ historically slow startĀ for the tight end on the field. Kelce recorded justĀ 8 catches for 69 yards through the first three gamesĀ of the season.
His teammates also seemed to be pushing for a much-needed turnaround for their star tight end. The rest of theĀ Chiefsā pass-catchers wore shirts supporting KelceĀ in warm ups.
Return of El Travador
Coming into theĀ divisional matchup with the Chargers, he arrived with a wholeĀ new lookĀ and a wholeĀ new vibe, ready to get back to a better version of himself. He conjured the image of his āEl Travadorā persona, showcasingĀ slicked hairĀ and hisĀ signature training camp mustacheĀ before kickoff.
He styled the new hair-do with aĀ movie star outfitĀ when he enteredĀ SoFi Stadium. His fully-buttoned white dress shirt tucked under a floral pink and black jacket drew rave reviews on social media fromĀ SwiftiesĀ andĀ Chiefs KingdomĀ alike.
Travis Kelceās not losing his mind over his stat line like the rest of the world ā¦ saying despite having the best outing of his season on Sunday, the only number he gives a damn about is the one in the win column.
The All-Pro tight end addressed his seven-catch, 89-yard performance in a win over the Los Angeles Chargers on the latest episode of his āNew Heightsā podcast with brother,Ā Jason, on Wednesday ā¦ which was surprisingly the strongest performance of the 2024 campaign for the usually dominant force.
Travis admitted the narrative of his struggles on the field leading up to the Week 4 contest were true ā¦ but only in one area.
āStruggling in terms of stats,ā Travis said. āI was still playing winning football. Thatās all that f***ing matters.ā
As for folksĀ giving their two centsĀ on his every on-field move ā¦ Travis said heās not listening to the outside noise ā even if itās complimentary. But if he IS going to assess his numbers, he holds himself to a much higher standard.
āBig game?ā Travis said. āSince when is 89 yards a big game? It was a solid game. A big game is like I score a touchdown, or something.ā
Jason took it one step further ā¦ saying if a pass catcher doesnāt go over the 100-yard mark, it isnāt a ābig gameā in his eyes.
Travis insisted heās focused on doing his job whenever his numberās called ā¦ and helping get a dub, even if itās in a smaller role.
āI was accountable this game,ā he said. āI didnāt have any drops, which was what happened in Atlanta to make me feel like I had a bad game. I still didnāt have an outstanding game, thereās a lot that goes into having a great game.ā
āI helped my team find a way to win, and that is all that will ever matter.ā
Travis might not care about targets, but theyāll almost certainly be coming his way in the coming weeks ā¦ as his teammate,Ā Rashee Rice, is feared to have been lost for the season due to a knee injury.
