The Dallas Cowboys waited until Dak Prescott went down with an injury to finally make a move, and they are getting destroyed for it.
According to Tom Pelissero, the Cowboys went out and traded for Panthers WR Jonathan Mingo.
Pelissero added that Dallas will give up a 2025 fourth-round pick and get back Mingo and a 2025 seventh from Carolina.
That news came on the heels of Cowboys owner Jerry Jones teasing a trade for a receiver on his weekly radio interview, saying it was for a player they liked pre-draft.
The Dallas Cowboys hosted Mingo for a top-30 visit ahead of the 2023 draft.
Social media is blasting the team over the move, not just because of Mingo’s stats but also because of what they gave up to get him instead of doing it for another player.

This move is even more head-scratching because the Dallas Cowboys are expected to be without quarterback Dak Prescott, who suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the team’s third straight defeat.
Cooper Rush, his backup, will likely be starting this week against the Philadelphia Eagles and quite possibly three more games.
The Cowboys are sitting at 3-5 on the season.
The Dallas Cowboys Might Be Dead In The Water Unless Cooper Rush
The Dallas Cowboys are sitting in third place in the NFC East, and things are looking bleak as Dak Prescott is out for four games and they have a slew of tough games to play.
The team can only hope to go 2-2 without Dak, but even that would lead them to a 5-7 record and need to possibly win out for any hope to get into the playoffs.
