Recently, the Cleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston shared who he put down as his vote for the upcoming presidential election. However, it wasn’t for either of the two major candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

On Instagram, he posted a photo of his voting ballot and penciled in his candidate. That person is Deshaun Watson. To be exact, Winston wrote, “Deshaun Winston #4 RIP.”

Of course, this comes after Watson suffered a season-ending Achilles injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7.

There was a lot of controversy surrounding the injury after many Browns fans were caught cheering while Watson was down.

Winton and defensive end Myles Garrett were both very vocal in defending Watson.

Many on social media could not believe what Winston did with his vote.

Jamies also got a lot of hate for his initial defense of Watson.

“The way I was raised, I was taught to love no matter the circumstances, especially with people who do right by you,” Winston said. “I’m grateful to have the chance to serve Deshaun. But I am very upset with the reaction to a man that has had the world against him for the past four years. And he put his body and life on the line for this city every single day.”

Jameis Winston Will be the Brown’s Starter Moving Forward

After Watson was ruled out for the season, Cleveland quickly announced that Winston would become the Browns’ starter.

The last time he started a game was in 2022 for the New Orleans Saints when he went 1-2, throwing for 858 yards, four touchdowns, and five interceptions.

The last time he started a full season was in 2019 for other Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
