Marvel at the Paradise Landscape of Asia

The top 13 winning photographs of the 9th National Tourism Art Photography Competition with the theme ‘Explore Vietnam’ have just been announced and exhibited in Hanoi.

The competition is organized by the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, Tourism Magazine and the Vietnam Photographic Artists Association. After almost 6 months (January – June 2020), the Organizing Committee received 15,610 photographs from 1,118 authors from all over the country and 14 foreign authors living in Vietnam.

This is an activity within the framework of activities to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam’s tourism industry (July 9, 1960 – July 9, 2020) and in response to World Tourism Day (September 27) .

The contest participants represent a beautiful and diverse image of Vietnam tourism with many angles and vivid colors revolving around themes such as cuisine, islands, landscapes, cultural heritage, daily life, exploration trips, traditional artisan villages, festivals…

The court considered that the works presented this time were mostly of good quality, closely following the theme of tourism with many rich and diverse themes, many new perspectives, rich in creativity and character; It is the basis for forming a photographic data system that serves for advertising and promotion of Vietnam’s tourism industry.

5 consolation prizes were awarded to the works: “Ba Na Hills – Da Nang” (Huynh Van Truyen), “Train through Le Son Tunnel” (Tran Bao Hoa), “In harmony with nature” (Nguyen Tien Dung) , “Moonlight Night Dance” (Nguyen Quang) and “Saigon Bread” (Tu The Duy).

Two additional awards through voting on Tourism Magazine’s Facebook: Photo with the most likes: “Dance of the past” (Phan Minh Tho); Most shared photo: “Family of elephant rider Y Vinh” (Duong Hoai An).

Regarding the Vietnam tourism video contest with the theme “VienamNow”, the organizing committee received 59 works from 28 domestic and foreign authors. Contest entries showcase beautiful landscapes and interesting experiences on the journey to discover the beauty of Vietnam’s country, people, culture and tourist destinations.

The organizing committee decided to award a special prize to the video “Quang Binh – Must go this summer” by author Le Tuyet; The first prize was awarded to the work “The beauty of nature, culture and human beings” by author Vu Huong Giang; The two second prizes went to the work “Da Lat seen from above” by the author Nguyen Dang Viet Cuong and “Hoi An – the ancient city of Vietnam” by the author Masashi Matsubuchi. In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded 3 Third Prizes and 4 Consolation Prizes.

Tourists and photography lovers can admire 13 award-winning works and almost 200 other excellent photographs on display at the exhibition at the Vietnam Military History Museum (Ba Dinh, Hanoi). The exhibition will be open to the public from September 24 to 30.
