The Atlas actress, 55 – who recently  – took on a leading role in the sports drama, which Affleck notably produced.

On Sunday, the Oscar winner, 52, as Judy Robles in the biopic and simply told Entertainment Tonight: ‘Jennifer is spectacular.’

The mother-of-two has since responded to the comment in an interview while at the Unstoppable premiere in London on Tuesday, per E! News.

Although Lopez did not specifically mentioned her ex, she expressed, ‘I would describe all of the cast and everybody behind the scenes.’

During his interview with ET, Ben discussed working with ‘talented’ cast and crew before mentioning Jennifer.

‘Unstoppable is a very different movie than this, but in a way, it’s similarly rooted in the passion of really talented artists.’

He added, ‘It speaks to a certain kind of thing I guess we’re drawn to. We really believe in the power of storytelling when the people involved in it are deeply connected to the story.’

The Amazon Prime film first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival a few months earlier in September.

Lopez made an appearance on the red carpet at the event, with Affleck opting to not attend.

Back on August 20, the actress officially filed for divorce from the Good Will Hunting actor on their second wedding anniversary.

Unstoppable is slated to have a limited theatrical release beginning on December 6, before being dropped on the streaming service on January 16 of next year.

The premise of the movie, ‘Centers around the life of wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg and won a national championship in 2011 while competing at Arizona State University,’ per an IMDB synopsis.

Along with Jennifer, other stars that were cast in the project include Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena and Don Cheadle.

Ben is just one of the producers of the biopic, with close pal Matt Damon also producing alongside him.

Sources recently told DailyMail.com thein Unstoppable.

‘Ben wants Unstoppable to be a major hit, and for JLo to receive as many accolades as she deserves for it,’ one insider stated.

‘Ben doesn’t want their relationship ruining any buzz for the movie and her performance. He wants it to stand on its own.’

The source continued, ‘He knows that he is going to be asked about Jen during media appearances. He is adamant about keeping it very civil.’

‘He truly believes she 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁ed it. Ben is a filmmaker, and an Oscar winner himself, he knows what works, and he always thought JLo would be incredible.’

Another insider explained that Affleck, ‘obviously has a lot of loose ends to tie up with JLo, but he is proud of her performance.’

Sources recently told DailyMail.com the reasoning behind Affleck praising Lopez over her acting in Unstoppable; former couple seen in 2023 in L.A.

‘He also knows how much weight his comments have and if Ben says his ex-wife is good she must be good and people will watch the film. This is the first and only thing he has said about her since their split and it is all he will say.’

The source also said, ‘Make no mistake about it, this film is a huge investment for Ben and Matt.’

‘They can’t not comment on a star’s performance when they’re in a lead role in the film they produced.’

Last month in October, Lopez while talking to Interview Magazine – and described the separation as both ‘sad’ and ‘scary.’

The singer also discussed taking time before jumping into another relationship in the future and explained, ‘You have to be healthy. You have to be complete, if you want something that’s more complete.’

‘You have to be good on your own. I thought I learned that, but I didn’t. And then, this summer, I had to be like, “I need to go off and be on my own. I want to prove to myself that I can do that.”‘

Jenifer then revealed whether she has any regrets in regards to her marriage with Ben.

‘Not one second. That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did,’ she stated, and revealed that she is ‘not looking for anybody.’

Lopez later candidly admitted that her split from Affleck was ‘f***ing hard’ and added, ‘It feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary. It feels sad. It feels desperate.’

‘But when you sit in those feelings and go, “These things are not going to 𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁 me,” it’s like actually, I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself.’

She continued, ‘Being in a relationship doesn’t define me. I can’t be looking for happiness in other people. I have to have happiness within myself.’

‘I used to say I’m a happy person, but was still looking for something for somebody else to fill, and it’s just like, “No, I’m actually good.”‘

Following the split, Jennifer recently opened up to People about her holiday plans – and revealed that she will be spending time with family.

‘We don’t get to see each other all year, so we kind of catch up on what everybody’s doing and how life is. It’s just a beautiful time. I really enjoy it,’ the actress added

‘The holidays are such a special time for us, and they’ve always been since I was a little girl. And I really look forward to those moments when I can be with my sisters and just relax and have fun and create new memories.’

Violet Affleck was recently seen in a selfie with Jennifer’s sister, Lynda Lopez, which 

‘We don’t get to see each other all year, so we kind of catch up on what everybody’s doing and how life is. It’s just a beautiful time. I really enjoy it,’ the actress added.

Ahead of the holiday season, the On The Floor singer has been keeping busy on a press tour for Unstoppable.

And on Thursday, the beauty showed off her sense of style wearing a chic, white coat as well as a black turtleneck underneath while at a photo call for the movie in London (seen above)

Most recently, she has been spending time in the U.K. and attended the London premiere on Tuesday.

She wowed wearing a fitted, white knit dress that clung to her frame and also opted for a pair white pumps as well as a fuzzy outer piece.
