Fans are fearing the worst following Jordan Love going down injured near the end of the Green Bay Packers showdown vs. the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil on Friday night.

The Packers performed admirably on the night, but their efforts weren’t enough as they came up short in a 34-29 loss.

Even more worrying than the loss is the situation with Love, whose night ended prematurely, although there were only five seconds on the clock when he was dragged to the turf.

While Love was able to stand on his own, he needed assistance to get off the field.

Close-up footage showing the quarterback’s knee buckling under him has been circulating online since the injury, and fans are now suggesting that his season is over based on what they’re seeing.

“That’s an MCL complete tear – bros done for the season,” one wrote.

“That’s an ACL dawg,”  said a second.

“Oh man, that looks bad. Hope it isn’t. But feels like ACL,” a third suggested.

“100% that’s gotta be a tear of MCL approximately 6-8 months,” another comment read.

“Bye Bye Packers season,” someone else wrote.

There’s an ACL vs. MCL debate brewing on social media at the moment, but Packers fans will be praying it’s neither. The team has already ruled out an ankle injury, which is great, but Jordan Love isn’t entirely out of the woods yet, as his knee is the primary concern.

The Packers handed the quarterback a massive new deal in July, signing him to a four-year extension worth $220 million after his playoff exploits last season. They will hope for the best following Friday’s events, though they likely expect the worst.
