Fans have accused Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, 20, of being ‘weighed down by fillers’ after they claimed the former child star looked ‘much older’ in a new photoshoot.
The actress posed for her brand Florence by Mills’ latest line of clothing recently, but after the images were shared to Reddit, many people rushed to the comment section to discuss her apparent change in appearance.
Many wondered if the Enola Holmes alum had enhanced her features using injections, and were quick to voice their disappointment over it.
‘She already looks 40. It’s really quite sad,’ one person wrote.
‘Her face looks like it’s being weighed down by fillers,’ someone else said.A third person commented, ‘She’s so young, why the f**k is she messing with her face already?’
‘Imagine my shock when I read she’s 20 years old. I’m seeing lip fillers already. What is going on?’ a different user asked.
‘I feel so bad for the societal pressures that lead such young girls to do this,’ a fifth comment read.
‘She looks so much older than her age, it feels like they’re robbing themselves of stages in life.’
‘Between all the fillers and makeup, she looks a good 15 years older than she is,’ someone else chimed in.
Others, however, were quick to defend the star.
‘It’s the makeup and photoshop,’ one person insisted. ‘She looks her age when you watch her without makeup in videos.’
‘People have really turned on her in an ugly way, judging by these comments,’ another defender scathed.Does anyone do filler at the age of 20 without being deeply insecure about their appearance?
‘It’s not really something she needs to be criticized for. I find this absolute glee with which people are shaming her repulsive… it’s just mean spirited.’
Millie, who was skyrocketed into the spotlight at age 12 thanks to her role in the smash Netflix hit Stranger Things, previously spoke about her insecurities to Glamour magazine.
‘I feel like s**t today,’ she told the publication back in 2023. ‘I have a huge pimple on my face.
‘And I’m going to go on Instagram, and I’m going to see five different girls that look beautiful, flawless, stunning, and, OK, slay.’
She added that she was probably going to end up ‘sobbing’ because ‘she knew she didn’t look like that.’
She also recalled a time that she was accused of ‘trying to steal the thunder’ from her Stranger Things cast mates after she ‘talked over’ them during an interview when she was just a kid.
‘I was just penalized for overtalking and oversharing and being too loud. It’s hard to hear that at 13,’ she admitted.
‘You’re like, “I don’t want to ever talk again. I don’t want to be the loud person.” [After that] in interviews I couldn’t help but think of all the comments.
