Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce and his girlfriend, global pop sensation Taylor Swift, were spotted celebrating a special occasion following the Chiefs’ game on Sunday.
The couple attended a birthday party hosted by Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, in honor of his upcoming birthday on September 17th.
Although Mahomes’ official birthday is a week away, he decided to host a gathering on Sunday night, celebrating with friends after the Chiefs’ victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Kelce and Swift arrived at the event hand in hand, with Kelce dressed in a light blue polo shirt, while Swift sparkled in a blue dress.
Swift’s presence at the game and later at Mahomes’ birthday party has become a familiar sight this season. The 14-time Grammy winner returned to Arrowhead Stadium to support Kelce and the Chiefs, who played the Cincinnati Bengals earlier that day. Swift, wearing Chiefs’ attire, arrived alongside musicians Danielle and Estee Haim, with her mother, Andrea Swift, accompanying them. Andrea was seen riding on a golf cart with her daughter as they made their way into the stadium.
Swift’s support seems to bode well for the Chiefs’ performance. Last season, the Chiefs boasted a 10-3 record in games where Swift was in attendance, including their Super Bowl 58 win. In those games, Kelce’s stats saw a notable increase, averaging almost six catches for 78.8 yards per game when Swift was present, compared to just 50 yards when she wasn’t. During the Super Bowl win against the San Francisco 49ers, Kelce shined with nine catches for 93 yards.
The relationship between Kelce and Swift, which began nearly a year ago, has added a new level of excitement to NFL games. Swift first attended the Chiefs’ 2024 season opener against the Baltimore Ravens on September 5th, sitting with Kelce’s parents, Ed and Donna. The Chiefs defeated the Ravens 27-20, with Kelce recording three catches for 34 yards.
After that game, the couple was seen celebrating with teammates at Kansas City’s Prime Social bar. Sources noted that everyone had a great time, with Kelce and Swift both letting loose during the post-game festivities.
