It appears that Dallas Cowboys superstar linebacker Micah Parsons avoided a serious injury in the team’s 20-15 win over the NFC East rival New York Giants on ‘Thursday Night Football’.
Micah Parsons had to be carted off late in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ game against the Giants after suffering an ankle injury. One play earlier, the New York Giants lost star rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers with a concussion.
Fortunately, it already sounds as though Parsons has avoided a serious injury. Per ESPN’s Todd Archer, Parsons told reporters after the game that X-rays were negative on his left foot and ankle. Micah Parsons was limping around after the game and will undergo an MRI on Friday, but added that he’s feeling “good”, per Archer.

The Cowboys also lost defensive tackle DeMarcus Lawrence earlier in the game with a foot injury. Per The Athletic’s Jon Machota, Lawrence said he will also be fine, and that Parsons told Dak Prescott, “I’ll be good.”

A loss would have dropped Dallas to 1-3 on the season with a gauntlet of a schedule ahead, so Thursday night’s win may have been a season-saver, alright. If Parsons indeed avoided a serious injury, that’s an extra boost for a struggling defense that finally put together a stellar effort against the Giants.
