Pont du Gard
The Pont du Gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge built in the first century AD to carry water over 50 km to the Roman colony of Nemausus. It crosses the river Gardon near the town of Vers-Pont-du-Gard in southern France.
Alcántara Bridge
The Alcántara Bridge is a Roman bridge at Alcántara, in Extremadura, Spain. Alcántara is from the Arabic word al-Qantarah meaning “the arch”. The stone arch bridge was built over the Tagus River between 104 and 106 AD by an order of the Roman emperor Trajan in 98.
Caravan Bridge
Caravan Bridge is an ancient bridge in the city of İzmir, Turkey. It was built in approximately 850 BC over the Meles river and is one of the oldest man-made structures in continuous use.
Qiancheng Bridge
Not by a long stretch one of the oldest bridges on the planet, Qiancheng Bridge deserves a special mention because it is entirely made of wood. To have survived from its construction in 1127 A.D. all the way through to today is a remarkable achievement that should be lauded.
Arkadiko Bridge
The Arkadiko Bridge or Kazarma Bridge is a Mycenaean bridge near the modern road from Tiryns to Epidauros on the Peloponnese, Greece. Dating to the Greek Bronze Age, it is one of the oldest arch bridges still in existence and use today and the oldest preserved bridge in Europe.

This 17th-century bridge was built to connect towns at the tops of mountains in the country of Yemen. It’s another scary bridge and a popular attraction with tourists, but the local residents still cross it regularly as a part of their daily routine. Shaharah bridge spans 300 meters (990 ft) deep gorge.
Anji Bridge
The Anji Bridge is the world’s oldest open-spandrel segmental arch bridge of stone construction. Credited to the design of a craftsman named Li Chun, the bridge was constructed in the years 595–605 during the Sui dynasty. Located in the southern part of Hebei Province, it is the oldest standing bridge in China.
Pons Fabricius
The Pons Fabricius or Ponte dei Quattro Capi, is the oldest Roman bridge in Rome, Italy, still existing in its original state. Built in 62 BC, it spans half of the Tiber River, from the Campus Martius on the east side to Tiber Island in the middle.
Old Bridge of Dezful
The Old Bridge of Dezful is located near the city of Dezful in South Western Iran. This bridge connects the western and eastern parts of the city of Dezful. The design of the bridge in its current state is 1700 years old and goes back to the Sassanid dynasty, however, the original foundation of the bridge was built during the Elamite era.

Kapellbrücke
The Kapellbrücke (literally, Chapel Bridge) is a covered wooden footbridge spanning the river Reuss diagonally in the city of Lucerne in central Switzerland. The bridge itself was originally built c.1365 as part of Lucerne’s fortifications. It linked the old town on the right bank of the Reuss to the new town on the left bank, securing the town from attack from the south.
