VIDEO: Cameras Caught Colts QB Anthony Richardson Yawning At The Most Unfortunate Time During SNF vs

Anthony Richardson of Indianapolis Colts looking on.

Of all the times for Anthony Richardson to yawn, he just had to do it at the most unfortunate time during NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” clash between his Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings.

Last week, Anthony Richardson made headlines when he told reporters that he removed himself for one play in the Colts-Houston Texans game because he was “tired” from all the running around in the contest.

Richardson received immense criticism for using the “tired” excuse. Head coach Shane Steichen added more fuel to the fire by benching Richardson in favor of 39-year-old veteran Joe Flacco for Week 9 against Minnesota.

While the NBC commentators discussed Anthony Richardson’s “tired” comments, the cameras cut to the second-year quarterback yawning on the sidelines. I mean, you can’t make it up:

Hey, credit to the heads-up NBC camera crew for catching that million-dollar shot. The executives at the network oughta give them a raise.

Anthony Richardson Is Having A Tough Sophomore Year

Through his first six games of 2024, Richardson has a woeful 44.4 completion percentage for 958 yards, four touchdowns and seven interceptions. Those numbers just aren’t going to cut it in the pros, so the Colts are going to roll with Flacco as long as he continues to protect the football and avoid the back-breaking mistakes.
