VIDEO: Social Media Is In An Uproar After South Carolina Player Celebrated A Sack By “Emptying His Clip” On Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart

Dylan Stewart celebration

On Saturday, the South Carolina Gamecocks hosted the Ole Miss Rebels at home. South Carolina would lose 27-3, but a celebration from edge rusher Dylan Stewart after sacking quarterback Jaxson Dart had everyone’s attention

Of course, defenders celebrating a great play like a sack is normal, but Stewart took things just a little too far. When getting up after recording a sack, cameras panned to him when he pretended to have a gun in his hands and shot Dart multiple times.

A flag was quickly thrown after the celebration, as the officials certainly didn’t appreciate it, and many on social media didn’t either.

“Being a Hurricane fan, I have NEVER been a fan of flagging for celebrations, but there is a line and that is crossed right there….,” said one comment.

“That’s crazy bc it’s his defense that’s given up the greater half of 50 points. Maybe he should stop celebrating and start idk, being good at the game?” said another.

“Call me soft, but I think that’s a suspension and possibly getting kicked off the team,” added a third.

“This is one of the wildest football celebrations I have seen,” continued a fourth.

Hopefully, this is an experience that Stewart can learn from so he doesn’t make similar mistakes in the future.

Dylan Stewart Is Still A Freshman

This mistake can possibly be chalked up to Stewart being a young kid who still needs time to mature. Right now, Stewart is just 19 years old and a freshman.

Through the year so far, he has accumulated eight total tackles, two and a half sacks, and two forced fumbles.

If he can clean some things up, Stweart can be a force on this South Carolina defense for his entire collegiate career.
