Police are on the hunt for a Utah Fan who left a BYU Cougars coach unconscious after throwing a bottle onto the field after Saturday’s loss.
The Cougars came behind for a last-gasp victory on the day, sealing the win with a last-second field goal at the end of the crucial Big 12 matchup.
An enraged Utes fan threw a water bottle into the fray after the game, hitting BYU cheerleading coach Jocelyn Allan square in the face. TMZ is reporting that the authorities are looking to identify the irate supporter.
The video below (obtained by Deseret News) shows a water bottle flying in from the stands and hitting the coach in the face before she crumples in pain.

“BYU’s cheerleading coach says she was knocked out by a flying water bottle at the end of the Cougars’ game against Utah on Saturday … and now, she says cops are on the hunt to find the fan who threw it,” TMZ notes.

“The object was apparently hurled in disgust by a Utah supporter who was upset over the way BYU had pulled off a stunning, come-from-behind, 22-21 victory over the Utes at Rice-Eccles Stadium.”

Allan would take to Instagram after the incident, claiming she “lost consciousness.”
“But thankfully [I] was lowered to the ground by one my cheerleaders,” she continued. “Police are going over video footage to identify the seats that it came from.”
As of Monday, there had been no updates. BYU told Deseret News, “The incident is still being reviewed, and we won’t be providing further comment right now.”
