Robert Saleh has been in the NFL coaching for almost 20 years. Since 2021, he has held the top job at the Jets. However, Saleh’s tactics and gameplay awareness were trashed by the former NFL offensive guard and two-time Super Bowl champion Damien Woody.

On Sunday, the New York Jets were defeated by the Denver Broncos in a low-scoring affair 10-9. The Jets committed five false start penalties and Woody blamed it all on Saleh.

“What the hell is going on Robert? This team looks sloppy,” said Woody on Get Up on Monday. “They look inept. This was supposed to be a game where clearly the Jets were supposed to win and your team can’t stay onside? This is clearly on coaching. Aaron Rodgers was freaking right. The cadence has been a weapon for him.

“BS. Figure it out,” he said. “Aaron Rodgers is absolutely right. Maybe if the guys had some discipline and stayed their behind onsides, maybe Aaron Rodgers could use that weapon to his advantage. I’m so sick of the Jets being undisciplined as a team.”

“It’s unacceptable. It’s a bad freaking loss. I put that strictly on the head coach.”

What did Aaron Rodgers say about Robert Saleh?

After the loss, Saleh spoke to the media, suggesting a change in the offensive style of the team and doing away with cadence. However, Aaron Rodgers was not on the same page as his head coach.

“That’s one way to do it; the other way is hold them accountable,” Rodgers said. “It’s been a weapon. We use it every day in practice. We rarely have a false start, and to have five today, it seemed like, four or five, it seems like an outlier. I don’t know if we need to make mass changes based on kind of an outlier game.”

Robert Saleh and Aaron Rodgers seem to think differently. The fans and the world will find out whether the Jets will employ cadence or let it go in their Week 5 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
