Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is giving fans an inside look at Taylor Swift’s growing influence on Chiefs Kingdom.
Since Swift started dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, the pop superstar’s presence at NFL games has not only energized the crowd but introduced a whole new generation of fans, particularly young girls, to football.
In a recent interview, Brittany shared how Swift’s frequent appearances at Chiefs games have made an undeniable impact.
“I love that it’s getting young girls into football so they can watch it with their dads,” Brittany told NFL Today during a joint interview with her husband at the Chiefs’ 2024 Super Bowl ring ceremony in June.
“I feel like most dads out there love it when their daughters are like, ‘I want to watch football.’”
Swift’s influence has drawn in a wave of new fans, many of them young girls who may not have been interested in football before. “It got a bunch of beautiful little girls out there and a lot of new fans that we love and adore,” Brittany added.
The “Karma” singer has been a consistent presence at Chiefs games this season, sparking excitement both on and off the field. Patrick Mahomes noted that her support has made game days even more special for their family, including their kids, Sterling, 3, and Bronze, 19 months. “We’re all big football fans in the Mahomes household — and big Taylor Swift fans as well,” Patrick shared.
This isn’t the first time the Mahomes family has sung Swift’s praises. Last year, Patrick expressed his admiration for Kelce’s relationship with the pop star, calling him “lucky enough to be with a great girl and a great woman.” During an appearance on CBS Mornings in December, Patrick talked about how impressive Swift is at the top of her field. “It’s been cool to interact with her because she’s top-tier in her profession, and how she drives and becomes that. I’m glad that she’s the person that she is, and that’s why I think her and Travis match so well.”
As Swift continues to root for the Chiefs from the stands, her impact on the fanbase — especially among younger fans — is undeniable. And for the Mahomes family, having Taylor Swift as a friend to Chiefs Kingdom is something they greatly appreciate.
